A change request is a formal proposal for an adjustment to an existing document. A change request may be a result of a change in the manufacturing process that must be reflected in the documentation or a recommendation for better spacing on a form. The Change Request record is owned and managed by the quality systems team who will work with the document owner to get the changes requested implemented in a timely manner.
The Change Request record initiates the change process for documents and is usually initiated by a viewer who does not own the document requiring the changes. Any document viewer can create a change request in Document Management and can attach markups to the record which could later be reviewed for approval and implementation of the changes requested.
Pilgrim's Document Management application is comprised of the following Change Request user steps and actions which may, or may not be required based on your company Document Management process:

User Rights
The following rights must be assigned to a user for that user to manage or view change requests:

Allows the user to view a Change Request record. |
CHR_CREATE |
Allows the administrator to create a Change Request record. |
CHR_VOID |
Allows the administrator to void a Change Request record. |
CHR_DELETE |
Allows the administrator to delete attachments and cross references from a Change Request record. |
CHR_SUPERVISOR |
Allows the administrator to manage a Change Request record. |
